Is it possible to download the Photoshop Workbenches?
Yes. For 99 cents per download, you can download all of the Workbenches. The download link is located just below each Workbench thumbnail. You can explore Workbenches either on the Home page or by clicking the sidebar hyperlink titled Photoshop Workbench.
Is there a way to pay for Workbenches in advance instead of one at a time?
I don’t have a perfect solution, but perhaps one that may work for you. If you set up a PayPal account and add funds to your account, then you can purchase each Workbench using funds from the PayPal account. Effectively, your PayPal account is working like a gift card. When you add funds to your PayPal account it’s like purchasing or recharging a gift card. Now that you have that money in your “gift card” you can spend it whenever you see a Photoshop Workbench, Video Tutorial or eBook that you’d like to download. This way, you won’t have to deal with using a credit card each time, and the purchase process should go much faster with less hassle.
I can’t see the bottom of the Photoshop Workbench. What’s wrong?
I’ve had a lot of readers tell me that on 1024x 768 (and smaller) resolution monitors they’re unable to see the status bar and anything that’s going on in the bottom portion of the Photoshop Workbench. If this sounds like a problem you’re experiencing, view the workbench by clicking the link to the smaller version located under the image.
How is the smaller version of the Photoshop Workbench different?
The smaller version is not abreviated in any way and contains all the same great content as the full-sized workbench. The smaller version is simply optimized for people with 1024×768 (or smaller) resolution monitors.
The Photoshop Workbench won’t play on my computer. How can I fix this issue?
If the Photoshop Workbench won’t play, try one of these solutions. Consider viewing this site on the most recent version of Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer. On a PC, you may need to download the latest version of the free QuickTime player.
Why do Photoshop Workbenches older than two weeks play at lower quality?
The reason is two-fold. First, I want you to visit my site often. Since the most recent two Workbenches are of higher quality than older ones, hopefully you’ll be inspired to visit regularly. Second, bandwidth is expensive. By having all Workbenches older than two weeks hosted by Howcast, I can continue to bring you the Workbench free of charge.
Can I project the Photoshop Workbenches and Video Tutorials in front of my camera club or organization?
Absolutely. I love exposing enthusiastic photographers to exciting, new ideas. If you project the Photoshop Workbenches or Video Tutorials, please let your audience know about this site.
Is it possible to purchase a DVD containing all of the Photoshop Workbenches?
Yes! In response to a high demand for a DVD of all the Photoshop Workbenches, I’ve released The Photoshop Workbench Archive Volume 1 – DVD. It contains Workbenches 1 – 200; more than 58 hours of inspirational Photoshop training! Each video is presented in its original quality and size (640 x 480 or 1024 x 768 pixels). You can get your copy here.
What software do you use to record the Photoshop Workbenches?
Here’s my equipment list:
1. Mac G5 computer
2. SnapZ Pro X software for recording the QuickTime movies
3. Behringer Eurorack UB502 mixer
4. Shure WH20 Headset Mic
5. Radio Shack RCA male out to 1/8th inch male phone plug in cable (left (white) /right (red)).For recording the movies I use SnapZ Pro (800×600, frame rate 3, auto mic input gain, smoother). Then, I save the QuickTime files with Sorenson Video 3 compression and audio set to IMA 4:1 44Khtz.
If you’re on a PC, you may want to try the software called Camtasia.
Photoshop Workbench DVD
When I load the DVD into a PC, the Windows Autoplay dialog pops up. Which option should I click?
Click the option that says something like “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer.” This option is probably located in General Options at the bottom of the dialog.
Do I need an internet connection to play the DVD?
