Photoshop Workbench 371: Impressionistic Photography Book Cover Composite

My dear friend and co-instructor, Charles Needle, has been hard at work creating a one-of-a-kind field guide that illustrates how to craft painterly photos using nothing but your camera. The book is titled “Impressionistic Photography” and it’s scheduled for release in late May. I’ve been working side-by-side with Charles on the book’s design and cover. We had so much fun creating the cover that we decided to share the process in today’s Photoshop Workbench. Since demand for the book will be high, Charles is currently accepting pre-orders at www.charlesneedlephoto.com.

We’ll begin the creative process with a lovely texture acquired from the French Kiss l’Artiste Collection (save 15% on all French Kiss Collections by entering the code “MARKSJ15″ at the end of checkout). We’ll also be working with a stock lens photo downloaded from iStockPhoto.

    Wonderful tutorial, Mark.
And it brought back fond memories of the great workshop you and Charles led in New Hampshire last fall.
    Cheers,
    Marek
