If you’ve ever stumbled across Photoshop CS6′s Color Lookup adjustment layer, you may be wondering (as I once was) what this mysterious new layer is. In a nutshell, it represents a combination of adjustments that remap all of the colors in your image to another set of colors to produce a creative appearance. In today’s Workbench, I’ll show you how to work with this adjustment layer. We’ll also put a free Julieanne Kost template to use so that we can view all of the color lookup effects side-by-side.

This is an interesting adjustment layer, somewhat similar to Virtual Photographer that is available only for 32 bit versions of Photoshop.
A way to streamline the process is to record an action with all the steps to use Julianne’s sampler image. This makes the preview closer to a “one click” process.
