Photoshop Workbench 329: Dramatic Flying Particles

Today’s Workbench is all about special effects. Picture a Hollywood movie poster for a film about a Roman soldier. Now imagine a battle scene complete with flying dirt particles. To accomplish the particle effect, we’ll use a set of free, high-res Photoshop brushes from the QBrushes website called “Dirty Sprays.” In addition, we’ll employ a stock Roman soldier image from iStockPhoto.com and a pair of beautiful textures from the Flypaper Textures Autumn Painterly Pack. If you decide to purchase any of the Flypaper texture packs, I’ve arranged a special 15% discount for my audience. To receive the discount, enter the code “MARKSJ” during checkout.
