Nothing reveals that a subject has been composited more than unsightly edge fringing. That’s why today we’ll explore a pair of approaches for eliminating these telltale elements. This Workbench begins at the moment when you’ve finished making your selection using the Quick Selection tool and you’ve done the initial edge refining using the Refine Mask dialog. To learn more about making a selection and refining the mask, take a look at Photoshop Workbench 311: Edgy Photo Composite from Start to Finish. I’m also excited to let you know that I’ll be releasing a compositing video tutorial series and announcing a compositing workshop sometime soon. Thanks to my dear friend Patrick for modeling for today’s example.
