HDR eBook Update

Hello everyone,

Here’s an update on the progress of my upcoming eBook titled “Illuminating HDR.” Just as I was about to finish, HDRsoft (the makers of Photomatix Pro) released a version 4.0 Beta. With the new version just around the corner, I’ve decided to go back to the drawing board and create an eBook that covers the very latest versions of Photomatix, Photoshop, and Lightroom.

The new anticipated release date is around October/Nov. 2010. Thanks for your patience. When it’s finished, this eBook is certain to be among the best HDR resources available.

All my best,

Mark

I am looking forward to the book. I have been disappointed with a couple HDR books I have purchased in the past.

I have high hopes for your book, since all your other books are top notch!.

    cheers, Scott.

I also have been disappointed with HDR books. Looking forward to yours. Nick

    Mark,

To me, I’m disapointed… Your argument about the new versions being realised won’t stop. When version 4 comes out, they will be working on the next version. And what about the new produces about to be released from Nik Software, or for that matter any other producer of HDR software? You have to draw the line someware. It’s not going to stop.

  4. Karen W Poore Says:

So Mark, we will all have to have the latest version of all three softwares?!

I agree with David above and personally, I am getting tired of the constant expense of everything.

I was looking forward to your HDR learnings …

HI Mark, I have to admit that I was greatly anticipating your new HDR book in July, but I can also see the value of having you evaluate and compare Photomatix and HDR Pro. I am looking forward to your conclusions and advice and will be one of your first customers when the new book is released.

After CS5, Photomarrix need a major update.

NIK Software has announced that its HDR Pro will be available by October. NIK has always been a leader in Third Party add-ons & filters for Photoshop, Lightroom & Nikon.

An independent evaluation of ALL of the leading HDR Programs would be a book I would subscribe to and keep near my computer. If it does not include NIK HDR Pro, then I will trust NIK for my HDR Software provider

Hope this release is a good one.
