		<description>It appears that you can get an almost identical color effect without needing a mask on the gradient layer if you use the Lighten blending mode on the gradient layer. Maybe it&#039;s just me, but I frequently find I have to go back to fine tune a mask, so I prefer to have just one copy to work on.</description>
