In a recent issue of Photoshop User magazine, Corey Barker demonstrated how to transform a photograph into an illustration. I’ve seen this type of effect before, but I’ve never felt compelled to share it for one of two reasons––either the result is mediocre or you need illustration skills to pull it off. Corey’s wonderful method changes everything. He explains a relatively simple way to achieve a gorgeous, stylized effect.

    Hello,
I usually follow your blog through rss feed, but i had to visit the actual page to leave you this comment.
Tutorials are awesome, they presented very interested tehniques but still are easy to follow by every audience (especially beginners). Tutorials i like the most are the ones that deal with photo enhancing (that is almost all :) )
    Keep up the good work!
    Have a nice day.

This technique is wonderful and the results are very striking. Sometimes the texturizer part works fine but it often looks right at the “Okay” stage and then ends up in a kind of grid pattern that I don’t understand.
