Photoshop Workbench 157: Retouching at Warp Speed
Purchase a Downloadable QuickTime Video
When capturing a photograph, one of the biggest challenges is keeping the edges and corners free of objects, such as weeds or rocks, which detract from the scene. Before opening the shutter, it’s always wise to perform a “border patrol” to ensure that everything in the composition is making a positive contribution. Even when exercising the most rigorous “border patrol,” an occasional detracting object is bound to find its way into your photograph. When it does, I sometimes use Photoshop’s Patch or Clone tool to remove the offending subject. Other times, I employ a feature that has the potential to save vast quantities of retouching time––Photoshop’s Warp function. Join me as I show you how to take advantage of this under-utilized powerhouse.

Your happy, gentle attitude makes all the videos enjoyable. And I like the detailed, step by step descriptions you give. Thanks!

I haven’t been able to view the videos for a couple of weeks. I’m not having a problem with other videos from other sites.
When I click on the link to the video, a box opens up on screen and then just leaves a white space and nothing happens. I really love Mark’s work and I miss seeing his workbenches.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Bob

I don’t know how much help this will be but I use a PC with XP and the latest version IE and when I double click on Mark’s intro workbench image the QT video plays just fine. I also use Comcasts version of McAfee security. You might try leaving a question in the Community and ask for help there.

This is so frustrating! I love the workbenches, but I’ve tried to play them with firefox, chrome and internet explorer with no success.
Mark, help me please?

Bob, you don’t have to watch the videos in your web browser, just right-click on the picture of the video and select “Save As” or “Save Link As” from the drop down menu.
Then you can save the “.mov” file to your Desktop, for example, and watch it directly in Quicktime.
