“What’s New in Photoshop CS4″ Tutorial Series Launches Today
Happy Thanksgiving, my friends. During this time of year, I like to reflect on life’s abundant blessings. Among those blessings, I feel grateful to have an audience like you. Thank you for being such a supportive and inspiring group.
To express my gratitude, I’m releasing a special Thanksgiving tutorial in addition to my regularly scheduled Workbench. If you’re curious about the new features in Photoshop CS4, join me today and again next Thursday for a two-part series titled “What’s New in Photoshop CS4.”
Be sure to stop by again next Tuesday when I launch my latest and most innovative eBook ever. It’s called “Luminescent World: The Stories (and Secrets) Behind Twenty-Five of My Favorite Photographs.” More to come soon!
Warmest regards,
Mark

Mark,
I enjoyed the short tutorial and look forward to the second part. However there are two disappointing aspects to your new web page that I’d like to mention. The first is that when watching the videos they don’t stream smoothly – the are constantly starting and stopping. I have a broadband connection so I’m fairly sure the issue is on our end. Secondly, as a long-time Radiant Vista member, I cataloged most of the weekly work benches – its disappointing that we now have to pay for this privilege. With all of that said, I’m still a loyal visitor to your site, and owner of most of your books/videos.

It might be a good idea for visitors to report their experience with the new site? I use ComCast cable in the Houston area and your workbenches run silky smooth here. I miss you and Craig together becasue you made such a dynamic duo :0) Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!

Mark,
I waited with great anticipation for your initial reaction to Photoshop CS4. This release is very exciting! Last week, I made the jump to CS4 from CS3. I am excited to witness the creative approaches you will develop with the new feature set provided in both Photoshop and Camera Raw. No doubt, you’ll come up with some amazing ideas. I’m curious also about your experiences with GPU acceleration on the Apple platform.
On a related note, one of my first tasks was to migrate all of my previous CS3 actions over to CS4. I am happy to report that your Elegant Sharpening action runs just fine. I did remove the two “Select Zoom Out” components preceeding Unsharp Mask, as they tend to leave me viewing an image at two zoom levels below 100%. This action is still the most frequently used in my arsenal of scripts.
Warm regards as always,
-jamie

I fully support you charging for a QuickTime version of your Photoshop Workbench series. They are fabulous and I want to see you around for many years. I will purchase many. I know you have mouths to feed like the rest of us. On another note, I have no trouble streaming the videos either on my ancient iBook or my MacPro.
