Downloadable Workbenches Now Available!
In the past week, there have been hundreds of requests for downloadable Workbenches. We’ve answered the call!
You can now download a large (1024×768), high-quality QuickTime movie of each Workbench for 99 cents per download. If you don’t wish to download and save the Workbenches, please know that you can always view the full collection of Workbenches for free while on my site. I’m charging this nominal download fee to help cover the site’s bandwidth costs and to create a sustainable business model. The Photoshop Workbench will always remain free on my site, and I hope that the choice to download a QuickTime file gives you more freedom to learn in a manner that best suits your style.
I’m offering the Photoshop Workbench as a QuickTime file because I’m a big fan of Apple’s free QuickTime Player for both Mac and PC, and because I record all of my Workbenches in the QuickTime format. If you can see the videos on this site, you shouldn’t have any trouble viewing the downloadable files. If you experience difficulties, the first thing to try is to Download The Most Recent Version of Apple’s QuickTime Player for free.

Upcoming Improvements to the Site:
In the next few weeks I’ll be converting all of the videos on the site to Flash video, which is a more universal video delivery method for the web that behaves consistently on different operating systems and browsers. Also, if you haven’t noticed, we’ve now added a smaller version of all Photoshop Workbenches and Video Tutorials for people with lower resolution monitors.
Lastly, but certainly not least, I’m expanding the Photoshop Workbench Archive! In addition to recording new Workbenches, I’ll be bringing back some of the older Photoshop Workbenches that you may not have seen in awhile. These videos will be added to the Photoshop Workbench Archive section of the site. You won’t see them at the top of the home page, so be sure to check the archive each week.
Thank you all for your ongoing support as I develop and refine this site. I’ve heard dozens of great suggestions and questions which are still under consideration. I want you all to know that while I’m not able to respond to every comment or email that I receive, I do read each one and deeply appreciate your feedback.
All my best!
Mark

Mark – thanks for making your brilliant Photoshop Workbenches available for download. Great news for those of us with connections so slow as to make ‘live’ viewing difficult. This is a real help and, may I say, an extremely modest price for such great information and teaching. Keep up the great workbenches! I am learning lots!

Mark,
I certainly respect your need to earn a living, and your tutorials are certainly worth the money … but, for what it is worth, I’ll miss your iTunes podcasts. They were a very convenient way for me to enjoy your work. Now that your tutorials require a special visit to the internet, I’m much less likely to watch them. I have time during my commute to watch your videos – not so much at home. And given the free alternatives available, plus the convenience of an iTunes download, well, I’m likely to switch to an alternative source for my photoshop tutorials.
I really hope this new model works for you. If you ever decide to revise your plans to include iTunes, I’ll be among the happiest to see you back.
Best,
Adam

Mark, you do an outstanding job. Wish you had a CS4 tutorial out. I prefer your teaching style over others in the business. Keep up the good work. I am sure you are pleasing the majority with your efforts. There will always be that small minority that can’t be pleased.

a marvellous inovation. It will be just great to download the more readable versions. I am 84, and the old eyes aren’t as sharp as they used to be! Keep up the good work. Thanks so much. Roy.
